A Renovation, Wellies and a New dance space
Creating a dance space at home…an exciting or stressful prospect? Home dance spaces have become increasingly important for many people who are choosing to take classes online. I am lucky that I have been able to use my parent’s lounge for dance classes but this weekend that all changed when my mum needed to redecorate! My family and I spent a while trying out alternative spaces and eventually found the spare bedroom to be a good option. At first, I was reluctant to dance upstairs knowing that I would need to jump, skip and spring (I didn’t want to fall through the ceiling). However, my dad announced that many years ago he had reinforced the floor in the spare room (my old bedroom) as he knew that my sister and I would be jumping around up there!! After piling the bedroom furniture into a corner and adjusting the camera to try and avoid catching the bed, the new room worked well.
Eventually, I hope to run online classes from my own home however, currently our little old house is undergoing major renovation- see below. At the moment, I have to wear wellies in the lounge but I am keeping my fingers crossed that one day my wellies can be swapped for ballet shoes!
